NCB UK waives fees for Haiti relief effort

The National Commercial Bank (NCB) UK Representative Office and NCB Remittance Services (UK) Limited have commenced a public appeal for funds towards the Haiti relief effort.

In an effort to encourage UK residents to contribute to the cause, the NCB offices have made the following concessions:

  1. NCB UK will waive all fees for funds sent to Haiti via MONEYGRAM.
  2. Fees for donations sent to The United Way, ODPEM and Food for the Poor (accounts held at NCB) will be waived.

These transactions will be conducted at no cost to the customer at their Brixton Office. This is the latest of the NCB Group response to the Haiti crisis. The NCB family encourages Jamaicans with families living in the UK to advise their loved ones of this opportunity and encourage them to give generously knowing all funds will go directly to their preferred non-profit organization. National Commercial Bank UK Representative Office is located at 207 Ferndale Road, Brixton, SW9 8BJ and can be reached at telephone # 0207 274 6666 / 02027 346 8878.

NCB takes this opportunity to remind the public of the following:

  • Cash donations can be made at any NCB branch and most ABMs islandwide to the following accounts –
    • The United Way Disaster Fund # 061048596
    • Food For The Poor # 471043885
    • ODPEM # 212387304
  • Donations of kind (canned/non-perishable food, clean clothes, linens, bottled water, medical supplies, toiletries, etc) can be dropped off at any NCB branch islandwide.
    • ALL donations of kind must be sorted before drop off.
    • We will then coordinate pick up with Food for the Poor who will ensure that the donations safely reach their destinations.
